Our Mackinaw Wool Field Pants are a trusted favorite in cold, snowy conditions. Along with our Mackinaw Cruiser and Vest, they are approved field attire for U.S.F.S. personnel to this day. Wool's silence in the woods, resistance to odors, and unique insulating ability in wet conditions make it a favorite of traditional hunters. Our Mackinaw Wool is made from the longest, sturdiest fleece fibers that are spun into thick, strong yarns. These yarns are tightly woven to our specifications into a twill fabric that is breathable, blocks the wind, and is highly durable. The cut is roomy through the seat and thighs for ease of moment. Flapped cargo pockets on the legs keep essentials or a phone close at hand. Zipper fly and metal wreath-button waistband. Metal wreath-buttons for attaching suspenders.

George I. ★★★★★

Finally found pants that keep my legs warm without the bulk of long underwear. The wool fabric is thick and quiet, and the fit allows easy movement even when I layer them over thermals for shoveling snow.

Joseph Y. ★★★★★

Wore these on a backcountry hike in single-digit temps and stayed perfectly warm without any wind cutting through. The wool fabric breathes well enough that I didn't overheat during the steep climbs.

Amelia ★★★★★

These wool pants actually kept my legs warm during a snowy hike last weekend, which I wasn't expecting from something this thick. The Mackinaw wool is dense but doesn't feel scratchy against bare skin. They're now my go-to for any cold-weather work outside.
