I was pleasantly surprised at how soft the denim feels right out of the box, no stiff break-in period needed. The 3-inch brim blocks the sun perfectly without feeling oversized.

The 9.5-oz. denim feels rugged but the prewash makes it soft enough that I forget I'm wearing a new hat. It's got that broken-in look right out of the box, and the 3-inch brim's doing its job against the afternoon sun.

The precurved brim is perfect for keeping the sun out of my eyes during afternoon walks, and the denim is heavy but not stiff. It already has that lived-in look I usually have to wait months for.
